Letter of Intent / Why Now Part 2

We have now received an email reply from Mayor Ellerbrock.
This is a direct quote from that reply:
“The LOI was executed after the structure of an agreement with terms that made sense for the city was presented. As with any deal the parties are under a NDA until a contract is executed. The service will be for the commercial district.”
So here’s the question again—louder and clearer this time:
WHY NOW?
If there’s an NDA…
If the details are so sensitive they can’t be shared publicly…
If this is still in motion and NOT finalized…
Then WHY is there an announcement at all?
WHY filter vague information through the Chamber of Commerce?
WHY release just enough to spark a headline—but not enough to tell the truth?
WHY hold a Dixon PowerPoint pep rally to frame this as some sudden victory?
Because it’s election time.
Because you, the citizens of Kimberly, are being shown a shiny object. And you’re supposed to say thank you for it… and never ask what it is.
The timing is the story.
We aren’t asking because we’re cynical—we’re asking because it’s common sense. If this can't be talked about WHY IS IT BEING LEAKED?
WHY NOW?
It’s half-revealed, conveniently vague, and wrapped in campaign confetti. And the city is quite as a church mouse. And behind a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
That’s not transparency. That’s choreography.
We think the people of Kimberly are far too smart to fall for this.
And frankly, you should feel a little insulted that the powers-that-be think you can be so easily manipulated.
The question isn’t just “WHY NOW?”—
It’s “DO YOU SEE WHY NOW?”

We think the citizens of Kimberly are plenty smart enough to see WHY NOW!
